Scenarios:
A Scenario is a statement that describes a real-life situation. A brand’s reaction to these scenarios helps the Brand Mentality platform layer the brand’s perspective onto the news. The scenarios section drives recommended actions within the Anticipation Boards, telling your brand whether to target, monitor, or block a viral moment in the news.
Scenarios are also used to identify the context surrounding a moment. Here’s an example:
-
Moment #1 headline = “New iPhone 14 Pro has BEST features yet!”
-
Moment #2 headline = “2023 Ford F-150 Lightning: Here’s What’s New And Different!”
-
Even though these moments fall into two different industry verticals, they are both contextually relevant to the “A business launches a new product” scenario.
Scenario Classification:
Our Classification Model compares all 184 of our scenarios to each individual moment on your Anticipation Board and provides a relevancy score. All scenarios with a relevancy score greater than or equal to 97.5% will be considered Classified Scenarios and displayed under the Brand Mentality Tab in that moment's module.
Scenarios that do not pass the 97.5% threshold are not displayed within the moment. However, they can be added through the Scenario Feedback Feature.
Scenario Feedback:
The feedback feature gives users the ability provide feedback on a scenario within the moment module. This in turn helps train Sightly’s classification model.
Feedback Actions:
-
Thumbs Up - This scenario was correctly classified
-
Thumbs Down - This scenario was NOT correctly classified
-
Remove Scenario
-
Add a Scenario
To add scenarios to a moment, click into the drop down to either search for a scenario or select from the provided list. The scenarios listed are auto-sorted from highest-lowest relevancy.
*Keep in mind that once a new scenario is added to a moment, the overall recommended action will be recalculated.
Scenario Responses:
For each Scenario a brand can provide one of the following responses:
-
Target - “I’d want to target this in my campaigns”
-
Monitor - “I’d like this moment on my boards to see how it develops and gather intelligence”
-
Block - “I’d want to block this in my campaigns”
-
Don’t Monitor - “I never want to see this moment on my boards, it’s not relevant to me”
-
{No Response} = Brand did not provide a response
These responses are utilized to provide a Recommended Action for each moment by comparing the moment’s Classified Scenarios to the brand’s scenario responses.
